Rostering will differ based on the needs of each district. If we cannot roster via a method that syncs accounts automatically, we'll usually start with Option 1, Self-Registration.

1. Self-Registration / Manual Rostering
  • Method: District admin either: 1) rosters teachers manually, or 2) instructs teachers to self-register with a universal registration code. Teachers will either: 1) add students manually, or 2) instruct them to self-register with a universal registration code.
  • Pros: Easy to setup when other methods are not available.
  • Cons: Accounts do not sync automatically.

See these admin instructions for more information: https://www.lab-aids.com/district-admin-instructions

Note: This method does not offer a CSV upload at this time. See option 6 below for CSV upload option through Edlink.

2. Classlink
  • Method: We will roster accounts and classes via ClassLink Roster Server. SSO via LaunchPad from ClassLink is also available.
  • Pros: No manual rostering required and easy to deploy. Ability to limit the sharing of roster data. Easy single sign-on as well.
  • Cons: Must be a current user of ClassLink.

More info on Roster Server and LaunchPad from ClassLink.

3. Clever
  • Method: We will roster account info via Clever Secure Sync. SSO via Clever is also available.
  • Pros: No manual rostering required and easy to deploy. Ability to limit the sharing of roster data. Easy single sign-on as well.
  • Cons: Must be a current user of Clever. Some schools/districts may not be eligible due to size. Must have active student licenses. Please contact us to see if your district qualifies.

When indicating your interest in Clever, please communicate the number of schools within your district that will be using the Lab-Aids Math Portal in Clever.

4. Google Classroom

Districts that wish to integrate with Google Classroom will use Edlink, which allows districts to share needed details with us to establish a connection with your Google Classroom account. More info on this process can be found here. Does not require prior Edlink usage.

5. LTI

Districts that wish to add a LTI tool to their LMS (eg, Canvas, Schoology) will use Edlink, which allows districts to share needed details with us to establish a LTI connection between the Lab-Aids Math Portal and your LMS. More info on this process can be found here. Does not require prior Edlink usage.

6. CSV Import
