Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn.
Benjamin Franklin
As a student, Jacob was excited when he had the chance to do hands-on science and remembers learning best when his teachers involved him in the process. As a teacher, he saw firsthand how his students would light up and make meaningful observations when they had a chance to do active investigations in the classroom. When Jacob became involved in educational publishing, he heard teachers say again and again how hands-on learning leveled the playing field for students, and increased accessibility for all learners.
After being involved in K-12 education for over 20 years, first as a teacher and then in educational publishing, Jacob has a deep understanding of the needs of classroom teachers. He has helped many school districts fulfill their curriculum objectives and is excited to be part of the Lab-Aids family and support the important work of science educators.
In his free time, Jacob enjoys hiking in the Adirondacks, traveling with his family, and playing music with his band.
